World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day falls on October 10th every year. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), this day “provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.”

This year, the theme of World Mental Health Day is “Mental Health in the Workplace.” It is important to recognize that not only do we spend a significant portion of our time at work, our self-concept is very much influenced by the type and quality of work we perform.
