Why do I Resist Therapy?

What is Resistance to therapy: 

 

Resistance to therapy is when individuals do not show expected improvements or exhibit limited progress during treatment. It can manifest in various forms, such as non-compliance with treatment plans, lack of engagement in therapy sessions, or resistance towards therapeutic interventions. Fear and stigma surrounding mental health issues can contribute to resistance to therapy. Explore different therapy approaches and find one that aligns with personal preferences and needs. Developing a solid therapeutic alliance with a trusted therapist creates a safe and non-judgmental space for healing.
