Growth thru Change has always been about creating space for meaningful, lasting change. As our practice has grown, I have spent a lot of time thinking about how we can make that care easier to access for the people and communities we serve.
That is why I am excited to share our expansion into East Falls, Philadelphia, where Growth thru Change is now offering in-person therapy at Martin Healing Sanctuary.
Our Center City location continues to be an important home for our practice, but Philadelphia is a large city, and getting across it for a weekly appointment is not always convenient. Our East Falls location gives clients another option for in-person therapy in East Falls, Philadelphia, particularly those living in Northwest Philadelphia, Lower Merion, the Main Line, and nearby neighborhoods.
For me, this expansion is about much more than opening another office. It is about making thoughtful mental health care easier to reach.
Why We Chose to Expand to East Falls
As a therapist and Clinical Director, I regularly think about what makes therapy accessible. Finding the right therapist and treatment approach matters, but practical factors matter too.
Where an office is located can influence whether someone is able to attend therapy consistently, particularly when appointments have to fit around work, family responsibilities, school, commuting, and everyday life.
East Falls gives us an opportunity to reduce some of those barriers.
Closer Access to In-Person Therapy
For people living in East Falls, Manayunk, Roxborough, Wissahickon, Mount Airy, Chestnut Hill, Lower Merion, and parts of the Main Line, traveling into Center City for every appointment may not always be the most practical option.
Our new East Falls therapy location provides another place to access care while remaining within Philadelphia.
The goal is simple: if someone wants to attend therapy in person, location should not unnecessarily stand in the way.
More Choice for Existing and New Clients
Some clients enjoy coming into Center City. Others may find East Falls more convenient from home, work, or school.
By offering both locations, we can give people more choice when deciding where therapy fits best into their lives.
For existing Growth thru Change clients living closer to Northwest Philadelphia, Lower Merion, or the Main Line, East Falls may also provide an easier way to continue receiving in-person care.
For new clients searching for an East Falls therapist or therapy near the Main Line, it gives them another option without needing to travel farther into the city.
A Setting That Supports the Work We Do
We also wanted our second location to feel aligned with the kind of care we provide.
Martin Healing Sanctuary offers an environment built around mental health, wellness, mindfulness, connection, and integrative approaches to care.
That made the partnership feel like a natural fit for Growth thru Change.
Why Martin Healing Sanctuary Felt Like the Right Partner
When I thought about expanding our practice, I was not interested in simply adding another office address.
I wanted the environment to complement our approach to therapy.
Mental health is rarely isolated from the rest of a person’s life. Anxiety can affect the body. Trauma can shape relationships. Depression can change routines, energy, motivation, and connection. Life transitions can influence identity, relationships, and how someone understands themselves.
Martin Healing Sanctuary creates space for a broader conversation around wellness while allowing us to continue providing individualized psychotherapy and evidence-informed mental health care.
A Shared Focus on Integrative Care
Our partnership is particularly meaningful because of our shared interest in integrative mental health treatment.
Growth thru Change therapists use different therapeutic modalities depending on each client’s needs, experiences, and goals. We believe therapy should be individualized rather than forcing every person into the same treatment model.
That approach fits naturally within Martin Healing Sanctuary.
A Natural Home for KAP
The partnership also creates an important home for our work in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy in Philadelphia.
KAP combines ketamine treatment with therapeutic preparation, support, and integration. For appropriate clients, it may offer another way to explore emotional experiences, patterns, and symptoms that have been difficult to shift.
What matters to me is that KAP is not approached simply as receiving ketamine. Preparation, the therapeutic relationship, clinical decision-making, collaboration, and integration are important parts of the process.
Our East Falls location gives us an environment where that work can happen as part of a thoughtful therapeutic framework.
Therapy Services We Offer at Our East Falls Location
Although KAP is an important part of our work at Martin Healing Sanctuary, our East Falls location is not exclusively for people interested in ketamine therapy.
Growth thru Change offers a broader range of therapy services designed to support different mental health concerns, relationships, experiences, and stages of life.
Anxiety Therapy
Anxiety therapy can support people experiencing persistent worry, panic, overthinking, perfectionism, fear, physical tension, or difficulty feeling settled.
Therapy may help clients understand their triggers, identify patterns that maintain anxiety, build healthier coping strategies, and explore the deeper experiences contributing to how they feel.
Depression Therapy
Depression therapy provides space to address concerns such as low mood, hopelessness, exhaustion, numbness, reduced motivation, or disconnection from yourself and others.
Treatment is individualized based on what someone is experiencing and may involve practical symptom management as well as deeper exploration of relationships, grief, trauma, identity, or long-standing emotional patterns.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, commonly called KAP, combines ketamine treatment with psychotherapy.
Depending on the client’s treatment plan, the process can include preparation, therapeutic support surrounding ketamine treatment, and integration sessions designed to help clients understand and apply insights that emerge during the experience.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy supports partners who want to better understand their relationship dynamics, communicate more effectively, work through conflict, rebuild trust, or strengthen emotional connection.
Couples do not need to wait until their relationship reaches a crisis point to seek support.
Family Therapy
Family therapy provides a space for family members to better understand patterns of communication, emotional needs, conflict, transitions, and changing relationships.
Treatment can help families build healthier ways of responding to one another while addressing concerns affecting the family as a whole.
Trauma Therapy
Trauma therapy helps people understand how difficult or overwhelming experiences may still be affecting their emotions, relationships, nervous system, sense of safety, or self-perception.
Therapy is paced according to each person’s readiness and may incorporate different trauma-informed approaches depending on their needs.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR therapy, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is an approach commonly used when distressing experiences or memories continue to influence a person’s present-day emotions and reactions.
EMDR can be incorporated into a broader trauma treatment plan based on a therapist’s clinical assessment and the client’s goals.
Together, these services allow us to support people looking for anxiety therapy in Philadelphia, depression therapy, trauma therapy, EMDR, couples therapy, family therapy, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy within the same practice.
Making Therapy More Accessible to Northwest Philadelphia
One of the biggest reasons behind our expansion is accessibility.
Our East Falls location puts Growth thru Change closer to communities throughout Northwest Philadelphia while also making in-person appointments more convenient for people coming from areas outside Center City.
Serving East Falls and Nearby Neighborhoods
People looking for therapy in East Falls may also be coming from nearby areas such as:
- Manayunk
- Roxborough
- Wissahickon
- Mount Airy
- Chestnut Hill
- Lower Merion
- Main Line communities
- Other areas of Northwest Philadelphia
For someone searching for a Philadelphia therapist near me, proximity can play an important role in choosing where to receive ongoing care.
Helping Therapy Fit More Naturally Into Your Week
Therapy already asks people to make time for themselves in schedules that are often very full.
A more convenient location can mean less commuting, fewer transportation concerns, and an easier transition between therapy and the rest of the day.
That practical difference can make in-person treatment feel much more sustainable.
What I Hope This Expansion Makes Possible
When I think about what I want this expansion to accomplish, I keep returning to a few simple ideas.
More Ways to Access Care
I want people looking for therapy in Philadelphia to have choices about where and how they receive support.
Having both Center City and East Falls locations gives our clients greater flexibility when choosing in-person care.
More Opportunities to Find the Right Treatment
Someone may come to us knowing they want EMDR. Another person may be curious about KAP. Someone else may simply know that anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship difficulties are becoming harder to manage.
You do not need to know the exact therapeutic approach you need before reaching out.
Part of our role is helping you understand your options and connect with a therapist and treatment approach that fit your needs.
More Space for Meaningful Change
Ultimately, this expansion is about creating another place where people can stop carrying everything alone for a moment and begin understanding what they need.
Growth thru Change has always focused on helping clients recognize the patterns that keep them stuck, reconnect with what matters to them, and move toward meaningful change.
East Falls gives us another space to continue doing that work.
Our Center City Location Is Still Here
Growth thru Change is expanding, not relocating.
Our Center City Philadelphia therapy office will continue to serve clients who prefer that location, while East Falls gives our community an additional option for in-person appointments.
Some clients may naturally prefer one location over the other. What matters is having the flexibility to choose what works best for you.
Looking Forward to Welcoming You to East Falls
Opening our East Falls location at Martin Healing Sanctuary feels like an important next chapter for Growth thru Change.
It allows us to bring in-person therapy in Philadelphia closer to East Falls, Northwest Philadelphia, Lower Merion, the Main Line, and surrounding communities while expanding access to anxiety therapy, depression therapy, KAP, couples therapy, family therapy, trauma therapy, and EMDR.
If you are already part of the Growth thru Change community, I hope this gives you another convenient way to access care. If you are new to our practice and searching for an East Falls therapist or a therapist in Philadelphia, I hope our new location makes taking that first step a little easier.
You do not need to have everything figured out before contacting us. We can start by talking about what you are experiencing, what you are looking for, and which type of support may be right for you.
I am excited about what this expansion makes possible, and I look forward to welcoming you to East Falls.
